Two Freakin' Hours !!

That's how long it took Simone and me to get home from work last night after cyclonic winds hit Melbourne. TWO HOURS!!!

Incidentally, the strapping young lad above has nothing to do with any of this, other than he popped up in my Google image search for "walking against the wind". If nothing else, I thought Carol would find it amusing. If you search for "hurricane winds", all you get is image after image of near-horizontal palm trees, the universal indicator of fierce winds.

Other than the terrible traffic, I'm all good. No property damage, although a big block of wood with a bunch of rusted nails poking out of it mysteriously apparated in the back courtyard. I was feeling relieved no one was home to potentially be killed by it, but Ben quite correctly pointed out the very slim chances of that happening. I can't help it if wood from above scares me!
