Climb into the Way Back Machine with me to 2003 - 2004, when Sarah and I were completely obsessed with Homestar Runner and, more specifically, the Strongbad Email section.
Completely enarmoured with the entire site, both Sarah and I submitted questions to be answered by the one, the only, the indomitable Strongbad. My question was a completely lame query as to what he was going to do with his newfound fame after being referred to in the last ever episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It didn't occur to me that not only did that question completely break the fourth wall, but it was probably also asked by about a thousand other too-clever shmarmipoops.
Sarah's question, however, was a simple, clever one about Strongbad's sidekick, The Cheat. Ingeniously, she signed it off with the abbreviation for the name of the state she lived in at the time; "QLD".
Lo and behold, over 4 years later, her question has been answered!
I think this may even be a bigger deal than Luke being cast in a feature film opposite a Spy Kid.
Congrats, Sarah! I concede, you are the superior question-asker.
And if you all want to see why signing off with "QLD" is so ingenious, make sure to click on the box of diskettes sitting on the table at the end of the cartoon.
Cheers.
