I’m holding out high hopes for this. I think it’s a little much to expect it to reach Justice League heights, but given that it has Greg Weisman producing it (he who gave the world the amazing Gargoyles series) it definitely has the chance to. Apparently it’s focusing on Peter’s younger days as Spider-Man, much like the Ultimate Spider-Man comic book (though with far less hormonal / teen lust issues, I’m guessing).
And is this the first photo we’ve seen from the Where the Wild Things Are movie?
Man, it looks like they’ve nailed the visual style of it, at the very least. But once again, given the talent behind the camera (one Mr Spike Jonze, no less!) I’m expecting Very Big Things from this one.

There's gonna be a new Spidey cartoon? Where have I been! (well, I know where I have been... dooooo YOU?! :D)
I like that the promo implies a whole bunch of Spidey villains. For me, it's the main attraction: Spider-Man beating up colorful bad guys with corny names. None of this "I've been pushed TOO FAR!!!" crap, I want some lighthearted (melo)drama, dangit!
Speaking of USM, next issue is likely my last, with Bagley leaving. Unless Immonen's art just dazzles me (which it well might since he's so generally great). But I need to drop books, so decisions decisions...
(sorry about no replies to your posts, I've been swamped at work and at home, this entire husband-to-be thing involves a lot of juggling things around! :)
Yeah, hopefully it'll prove to be a bit better (or at least, a little more faithful) than the previous series (excluding the '60s one, which was almost too faithful!).
By the way, what do you make of this One More Day crap? Are the rumours true?
Good to see you back and replying! I've got some comic book / movie / TV show posts in mind, so while I might bore everyone else I can count on at least getting a response outta you : ) Especially given that we're only two episodes off the finale of Heroes down here!
And cut this husband-to-be guff, pal! Other people's happiness sickens me! ;p
